Up until 2009, the BIONICLE story focused on one location: the Matoran Universe housed inside the Great Spirit Robot. The Matoran Universe was a unique group of locations thought to be in underground domes until the revelation that the domes were contained within a robot. It is home to biomechanical beings created for one purpose, to keep Mata Nui functioning. The Matoran Universe was believed to be the only location in the universe.
With revelations that this is not the case, the Solis Magna and Solar System strives to explore the locations within the BIONICLE universe.
KanohiJournal Publications is proud to bring BIONICLE fans an in-depth guide to the Matoran Universe, Spherus Magna, and beyond. The first part of this guide will bring you summaries of the Matoran Universe locations that has been an important part of BIONICLE since 2004. The second part will detail the planet of Spherus Magna, which has been a critical part of the BIONICLE mythos since 2009, and will continue to do so in the future. The third part will see the inclusion of Aqua Magna, the origins of the BIONICLE story, and its sister Bota Magna. It will also go beyond the realm of canon and into the solar system itself, with information and properties of the other planets of the system and Solis Magna itself. A comprehensive edition which will combine all three editions into one single volume will then be released.
